Gone Forever. Ah, Whatever.

by Ashley on September 1, 2012

So I’m not really gone forever.  Or whatever.  The title is a David Gray lyric, which you could probably guess only from knowing me and not knowing anything about David Gray.  But why don’t you listen to David Gray? What is wrong with you? Why are we still friends?

I’m just taking my regularly-scheduled, post-#VEDA, early September break from the internet.   The first year, I announced it, because the internet had kind of witnessed me falling apart all August and knew I needed some time to put myself back together. Last year I didn’t mention anything, which I didn’t realize was kind of silly until people started asking if I was dead.

This year I’m in one piece and only need a break because I’m an introvert and putting myself all over the internet every day for a month (or two with the guest blogs) takes something out of me.  Be back in a week or so.  You can still reach me by email. Love your faces.

As a fellow introvert, I completely understand! Next year before August I am going to have to take VEDA lessons from you—I wholeheartedly intended to vlog the entire month of August but became exhausted after just the first three videos. Other than knowing you’ve been doing it for years, well, I don’t know how you do it!

Hope you got out more than you put in. Time to pull up the drawbridges.Only the wine talking, only the wine.

That’s where you’ve been. I was starting to get worried.

Enjoy the break, Captain!
