Here’s a look back at my nine day vacation in Western Washington. It was good to be home, but now it’s good to be home. I guess home is a weird concept for a twenty something. See My Life in Pictures: At Home Holiday Edition Vol. 1.
I'm not just head and shoulders. I do have legs. But, let me just turn to the side so I appear thinner.
My contribution to Christmas dinner. I was quite proud of myself since I don't cook or bake or really even prepare food ever.
Our Christmas Tree. My mom decorated it beautifully so that even Martha Stewart would be proud and then my nieces decided we needed twice as many ornaments. This was the end result.
What you may not know about me is that I used to be awesome on roller blades. Apparently it's like riding a bike, because when my nieces begged me to rollerblade in the basement with them, I laced up my skates and was quickly doing fancy turns and all. Mad skills.
Going through the stuff I still have at my parents' house, I came across a box from my NSYNC days. I just can't give this stuff up yet. It's from a really fun time in my life. Boy bands forever!

Oh my goodness, *NSYNC. I really miss them & was annoyed that BSB got back together but *NSYNC still hasn’t. Also? I still have their concert on HBO on a VHS tape and will occasionally watch it & somehow remember little bits of the choreography.
Boy bands were definitely an amazing part of growing up.
I had that very Cosmo Girl…good taste in bands, girl. haha…I just noticed that the comment before mine also had to talk about *NSYNC, like we both forgot the rest of your post because we have boyband on the mind :)
So let me comment on another part of your post: good job on finishing that beer. Mine would have been a darker beer though. Mmmm…
Lol I was totally a nysnc fan back in the day too. :) Mmm mudpie. *drool* Fun pics!
That plate of veggies looks so good right about now. Happy belated birthday!
I dont know which one I like better — the boy band box with VHS tapes or the beer with the Christmas tree in the background. Looks like your holidays were a win!
:) Looks like a nice trip
that box of nsync memorabilia just made my whole heart smile. yea for boy bands!!
That was one massive looking beer!!!
That IS one massive looking beer, let’s go for drinks sometime lol!!
And how wonderful you found your box of N*sync stuff, I was totally the same way with Backstreet Boys :)
Holy mud pie, Batman!
“I never realize how much I like being home unless I’ve been somewhere really different for a while.” Interpret as you will :)
“I’m not just head and shoulders. I do have legs. But, let me just turn to the side so I appear thinner.” – Adorable. Simply adorable.
And remember, when we do meet, Blue Moon on me!
Looks really amazing!
Okay, I’m in love with your holiday. The *Nsync stuff made me giggle and I miss rollerblading! My cousins have a really big basement and we used to always rollerblade down there.
My boy band days look just like yours! I came home and found all my N’SYNC, BSB, 98*, and Hanson bins…4 of them, filled with magazines, posters, videos, random crapola!
Made me realize one thing:
I spent a lot of money on paper.
you do appear quite thin! i miss rollerblading. and i like the upside down balloons. :D hope you have a great 2010!!
Ah, I love Blue Moon beer! If I go to a bar and they have it on Tap, I get a Black & Blue (Half Guinness Half Blue Moon), you should try it sometime! And I was so into boybands when I was younger (Backstreet Boys though, not NSync!) :)
So much to comment on in this post. I’m not a beer person but if I have to drink it, it better taste fruity or something (Like Berry Weiss). Also, boybands? I can’t seem to get rid of my BSB stuff either. I wonder if I ever will. And roller blading? We went by a skating rink the other day and I really just wanted to stop and go skating!! I was never a great roller blader (?) though. In fact, I was pretty awful.
The mud cake looking thing? HEAVEN.
