I remember being awesome at spelling bees in the second grade. I think I might want to do this series.

Second grade was one of my favorite years, too! And I can’t wait to start doing my own Blogging Through the Years segment on my blog but I keep putting it off. ;)

I never knew the Heads Up 7-Up trick, though. Sigh. I was never THAT cool.

I totally did the “look at the shoes” thing in Heads Up 7-Up, and nobody understood how I was always right about who touched my thumb. I loved it! So sneaky.

My second grade Young Authors book was about dinosaurs, done completely in crayon and construction paper. That’s all I remember about it, though.

Have we discussed that I also regularly cheated at Heads Up 7-Up? I was always amazed that other people didn’t do the same thing. It was the easiest game to cheat in. I wonder if my teacher knew. Probably. Now I’m a little embarrassed.

Ohhhh, you seven-up cheater!!!

I had a portable classroom in 3rd grade and you are so right. WE thought we were the COOLEST. The portables even had air conditioning! God, it was so annoying when we had to go have lunch in the regular school. Lol.

We wrote books and “binded” them in 3rd grade. I really loved doing that too!

haha I think I cheated at heads up 7-up sometimes too! My dad’s house was only 8 minutes away from my Mom’s, which in hindsight is quite convenient. It still is, too, so even though it’s hard to split visiting time when I go home so briefly twice a year at least I don’t have to waste time in transit :/

LOL you little cheater. Heads up 7-up brings back a lot of memories though!

Yay for getting out of remedial english. They left me in ESL classes until the 3rd grade. Even though I spoke English…. and had no accent…and I was born in the US. Silly schools.
