Ha, the word ‘vlog’ has lost all meaning for me now. I don’t think it’s something I’m suited to doing; I like having the time and space to make sure I’m getting my point across correctly that writing gives. But I definitely enjoy watching them. I should make time for more, in fact.
Vlog about your major? Or about the town you’re from.
I just sort of spew words out too but for some reason, I am a terrible vlogger. I’ve tried. I just can’t do it.
Haha, I absolutely loved how the discussion shifted to/began to incorporate forensic/real-life crime shows.
I keep saying I want to start vlogging (or at least podcasting) but I never do it. It’s like how I talk about wanting to organize all my books but I never do. It’s a great idea in principle but I never act on it. But I like your vlogs a lot, because they’re a change of pace BUT you also keep the same… feel and it really feels like it’s the same kind of conversation when you blog. You definitely do a good job of pushing me to expand my blogging horizons.
I would be far too embarrassed with myself to vlog, but I enjoyed watching you do it! :) I definitely like the control writing gives me. I am a perfectionist and so while I do sometimes just spew things out, as you say, I also edit and sometimes take that “spew” out. haha. but even more than that, I HATE seeing myself on camera. people always tell me I should be a broadcast journalist instead of a print journalist (because of the money, fame, etc. that could come with that line of work; people also say I have the look which I don’t know if that is a compliment or not…) but I truly can’t imagine doing that.
anyway, thanks for your comment on my new header/blog look! I appreciate it :)
I totally enjoyed watching your vlog! It was fun and it’s always nice to get a better picture of the person behind the words.
Somehow you reminded me of myself when I’m videoing myself/vlogging. And I definitely cracked up at your explanation at how vlogs can be morbid. Yes, I watch lots of crime shows, too.
I was thinking about doing a blog post asking readers the question: do you prefer reading or watching (i.e. a video) content online?
Your spewing whatever you have to say works for you.
Loved this!
