I get scared about the unknown too. I just try to take it one day at a time and not worry about the future. (Try is the keyword there, I usually fail miserably at it.) I am sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the summer but am happy that fall is going to be ok for you. I have no doubts that you can handle everything that is thrown your way.
I loved, loved, loved this! “Did I mention how hot it is outside?” This was great! :) I so get the hot weather, especially since my car AC decides it only wants to work when it’s not needed (i.e., at nighttime) but not when it’s a billion degrees outside in the afternoon. I hate it. Blegh. But anyway, lovely vlog!
I’m positive that you can handle what is coming this year! The thing about grad school is that it offers plenty of short-term goals to work on so you don’t have to face the nebulous unknown. However. I don’t know how your PhD program works, but I’ve stopped taking classes after the 3rd year, and now it’s just one long entity that has lost almost all of its structure. This is a struggle for me. But I’m working on making my own structure, which, I guess, is what you’re supposed to do in the real world ;) I should’ve put this under your other post about PhD school but I’ve been catching up on blogs since I was also on vacay last week :)
Also, I haven’t said it outloud yet, but this is the first year I’m actually kinda looking forward to the fall weather and the clothes that go with it!
I love your vlogs. Also, I’m going to be in Long Beach, California in the middle of September and my aunt who I am visiting was telling me about how hot it is there.
Also, my entire summer has been worrying about the fall and it’s practically here now and I can’t get over how fast it went and how much time I spent worrying about it.
I love watching other people’s vlogs – not my own though, whatsoever.
Isn’t it interesting that school starting signifies fall when in reality the seasons don’t change ’til September? I’m not even in classes, yet I still do this.
I laughed when you said, “but not funny, because I’m not funny”, so take from that what you will. I’m not sure I could live in California in the summer; constant heat would get to me. It’s bad enough during the two or three hot weeks we get here every year.

It IS freakin’ hot in CA! I know we talked about this, but I am seriously melting in my apartment. Fall can’t get here fast enough . . .
