And re: the blogosphere? I know! I guess it’s just the weather- people are heading outside and away from their computers. Which I totally get, but most of us still have to sit in front of one for 9 hours at work, right? What’s going on?

I would be calling my sister or waking a roommate up if I heard some noise like that. Though putting in earphones and trying to sleep might be something I try before I wake the household.

I’ve never liked My Boys. I tried to watch a couple of times and just don’t like the lead female in the series. I’m quite happy watching re-runs of my favorite show, Bones.

First off I <3 HIMYM! I have all 3 seasons because I found myself watching it all the time. I <3 the slap bet episode with Robin’s music video. My girl crush on her was pretty much sealed with that hahaha.

That unattractive squinty face that you made when waiting for the computer to blink on in the dark? I do that all the time! :)
I also often want to do way more on the internet and am trying to find the time. So many options! Blogs, and every type of blog you could want–not to mention all the social networks. Crazy stuff.

I’ve started watching HIMYM too- I’m about halfway through Season 2. I’m saving some of it for my long, long flights to and from Paris. I’m also glad to see that California wasn’t under attack by aliens, that would have been pretty scary.

And I know I’m one of those lazy bloggers but, trust me, I’m not doing anything fun. More like I’m exhausted from the past semester and summer school and it’s killing my ability to blog about anything interesting. But between going to the beach and being in nice weather and being in CA in general probably means you’re doing more fun things than me.

I love thunderstorms! We are probably getting more today. However, teaching while there is a thunderstorm outside is a different story. I never imagined I would have to explain the concept of thunder and lightening to 9th graders.

It stormed a little last night, and I slept like a baby. We haven’t gone a full week here without having a storm. I find them relaxing at night.

I hate hearing noises throughout the house, though. I’ve made Husband get out of bed before, and he searched the entire house with a machete–haha! He may or may not have circled the house (outside) in his underwear with the machete, too. :D

“I thought the world was ending…so I looked up CNN and Twitter” – what a sign of the times. When I was a little girl, and I thought the world was ending… actually whenever I woke up, it was because I thought the BTK killer or another never captured serial killer was in my house… but when I woke up, I’d hide under my bed. That’s all I could do.

I still wake up scared, but NOW I put my IPOD in my ears, and also go online.

PS-You, me, night, drink together? Other than the fact that it sounds like I just asked you out…. I just remembered you live in Cali, and I in NJ. Oh, the distance :)

I definitely heard a noise in my house last night, thought it was my dog, and yelled for her to come to bed as I walked toward my bedroom. But she was already in bed. Then I started freaking out a little that it was an alien or a giant bug or some man waiting to kill me as I slept.

It was 4:30 a.m.

I guess noises coupled with sleep leads to overreaction by many of us, ha.

I too formulate the worst possible scenarios when something frightens me! haha
And HIMYM is the best sitcom ever, in my opinion. Slap bet definitely is one of my top favorite episodes! In fact, we downloaded Robin’s song and have it on our ipod. hahahah.
