Last summer I wanted yellow nail polish so badly, and I finally found some, and I put it on…. and it looked like my nails were fungus-y or something. I was so sad!
And I love this video. And make up. Especially eye shadow. I never knew how to work with colors until I did a stint in the cosmetics dept of a few department stores. Those women never let me walk in bare-faced.
I also want to wear colored eye shadow, but it never turns out well. I tried blue once and I looked like an ’80s reject. I just can’t believe that I’ve been wearing makeup since I was 14 and I still can’t get it right.
It’s funny that you never thought you’d vlog in the past and now you’re Queen of the Vlogosphere (at least that’s the way I think of you).
I don’t have much to contribute in regard to makeup, but I had to use some makeup during my theatre days, and I thus have unlimited respect for people who use makeup on a regular basis and don’t go crazy.
You can totally wear green! Just start out with like a dark green base and then a lighter (maybe off white?) highlight along your brow line. you will not look like a clown!
Makeup!!! :D Another suggestion for green (or other colors): blend lightly in the outer corner/creases of your eye, into your regular taupe or whatever shade. Saucy! I should do another makeup post sometime, there is never enough to say about it. :P
Oh, I love make-up too! Although sometimes, I realize how ridiculous make-up is, and also, how bad I can be at it. Mostly, I think it’s just really fun.
Do the green! I think a shimmery-olive green shade would look smashing on you…just a thought. Also, I want to request one of your one-a-day pics to be without your glasses, and with glammed-up make-up. Although you look great in glasses, it would be cool to mix it up. Just a silly request, and you can take it or leave it…but why not be a rockstar for one picture?? :)
I used to be really into make up, but nowadays I just stick with mascara and eye liner… If I wear much more, I simply seem to look like I’m wearing too much.
I love that you love makeup…You’re totally right. Never would have guessed that. I hate makeup. I SUCK at putting it on…like I can’t even put foundation on..it’s always uneven, and I probably look like a crazy person.
I do love nail polish even though I suck at doing that too…I guess I’m not good at trying to be pretty? Lol..
You’re beautiful and this video is adorable. I think it’s great to love things that don’t always come naturally–it makes like more interesting! I enjoy looking at the really bold makeup in fashion magazines, although I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup b/c I’m too lazy. Thanks again for sharing!
eyeshadow is one of my most favorite things in the world! And you could totally wear green as a highlight – green is GREAT with brown eyes. though olive would probably work better than a green green. (this is a horrible confession – but I have over 100 colors of eyeshadow – INSANE! My excuse? I used to work for an make-up company :) lol)
The first thing I thought when I started watching this vlog was, “Wow, her make-up is REALLY nice.”
I grew up in Texas where everyone wears make-up all the time. (It makes no sense considering it’s steaming hot all the time and your make-up melts off after spending more than two minutes outdoors.) Then I moved to Oregon where no one wears make-up (I know multiple people who don’t even own the stuff–how is that possible?!) and never wear it anymore. But there are times when I miss how pretty I always looked in Texas, as opposed to now where I usually look half-dead. When in Rome, though…

Loved the video blog! :)
I bought liquid eyeliner the other day, and I’ve been practicing but I can’t seem to get it right!

You are WAAAAAY beyond adorable.

you are too friggin cute.
I never wear colored eyeshadow either. i feel like a clown or prostitute. Oh well, browns work fine. :)
You would so love the Beauty Bash!!
I missed that today was Vlog day on 20SB, maybe I will do one later down the road.
Take a liner brush, wet it and use the green eyeshadow as an eye liner. I rock colored eyeliner like navy and emerald every once in a while. Its fun!
I can’t do it either. No matter how hard I try. And eye make-up is the only kind I wear!

And liquid eye liner is EVIL!

One time my friend did my make-up and used green . It turned out looking really awesome. There is faith!
I am terrible at make-up. I avoid using it on most days.
You are so cute!! I love it :-)

I love that you watch tutorials on youtube! Awesome!

So down here in Florida, my Grandmother let me raid her makeup bag, and I swear I thought of you the whole time….
….well maybe not the whole time. Some of the time I was thinking about how excited I was.
TONS of brand new eyeliners, shadows, mascara…you name it. Oh. It was heaven :P
