aah I hadn’t seen that yet! SO FUNNY! It so efficiently re-caps the the arguement against Prop 8 — WITH funny celebrities! And I liked the whole solve the economic crisis bit at the end. Love it. Also, you ROCK!
I have to share a story because I agree with you about how there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. I am a conservative raised in a conservative family. Growing up I was taught to believe being homosexual is WRONG but after coming to college and meeting real homosexual people, I agree with you that they are just people who want to be happy. I was watching desperate housewives last night with my roommate and I realized he is definetly a homophobe. There is a character on the show, Bri’s son, who is homosexual and he was bringing his boyfriend over to meet the family. My roommate basically got up and left the room because he couldn’t stand to watch gay people hug. His behavior was awful and it made me ashamed that I know him. This is the way a lot of people are regarding homosexuality and its unfortunate. Just let people be who they are, no one said you have to go to their wedding right?
I think a main goal for most people in the world is just to be at peace. And we’ll never be at peace if we can’t love each other and accept each other for who we are.
As a Catholic, it really bugs me that people get so caught up with homosexuality.
There’s people dying of disease, hunger, the world is changing, animals becoming instinct, violence in our streets, civil uprisings in certain countries and to top it all off the events in Darfur are still occurring.
I mean seriously, regardless of whether or not *God* approves, there’s so many dire events happening in our world and people choose to focus on that? In my mind, I think God is going to be much more impressed and approving of those who try to make a difference then focusing on a possible minor offense, such as sexual practices, because by all accounts most people don’t live up to Christian sexual standards.
Alright, enough ranting on my part, but GOD, that annoys the Catholic out of me sometimes.
